INTERVIEW TIPS FOR UPPCL AE(T) ELECTRICAL

So its 3 fighting for 1 seat. As the results of written are out now its time to show case your finishing moves because after interviews only and only the marks of Written+Interview will lead to the final selection. Last year in 2015 Cutoff of last candidate for final selection are -

Gen-    139.25 ( out of 200 Written CBT + 25 Interview)
OBC-    127.50
SC-       109.00
ST-       91.00
Freedom Fighter Quota - 107.33
PH-      92.83

So It is quiet clear that cutoffs will increase this year as vacancies are less than last year and It may be around - 145-148 Marks for general candidate.

So to be in safe side candidate need to score maximum in interview especially those who are getting a less total in written exam.

So here are some interview tips for UPPCL AE Exam -

• As the interview is conducted by a board comprising of higher officials of UPPCL candidates need to be groomed well and should wear formal interview dress for appearing in interview.( & dont ask for tie )
• They will ask you which subject you have prepared , So do not hesitate to tell your fav subject. You can also tell sub-subjetcs i.e. DC machines/Transformers/Networks  So as to divert them directly to your fav topic.
• Generally they dont ask about project/ training but It may be worth to revise your project and training & if possible carry your project report/training report.
• Body language is an important point for Interviewers to select/ deselect a candidate , Make sure you wont show any lack in yourself. Keep a normal eye contact (Dont look much downwards) . Keep up your confident voice( Dont speak too low ), 
• As the interview is of average 10-15 mins duration You need to give your best answers . Do not hesitate to say no if you dont know the topic. Rather tell them that you have not studied that particular topic and give them your fav topic. ( As giving wrong answers may give a negative impact to interviewers)
• In non tech section you may be asked anything from your hometowns background to your hobbies. So be prepared for such questions. Do not fake your hobbies as they may cross question you in that regard. Creative people may note that it is seen in some interviews going serious over hobbies. 
• Overall do not get pressurized by this interview . Just have your confidence with you.Nobody is getting below average marks ( Here 12-15 Marks might be average) .
• In technical section in Electrical - They may ask from your fav subject but its quiet good to know some of the hot interview topics- FACTS/HVDC/HVAC Transmission/ PLCC/ SCADA/ Protection/Switchgears/Alternators/Power Plants/Capacitor Banks-Compensation/ Distribution Transformer/ Power Transformer and other various components of Power System...
